In an apparent attempt into clip the wings of powerful Block Resource Coordinators (BRC) and Cluster Resource Coordinators (CRC), the en department may increase the load of academic activities on them. The district President of Dehradun Unit of Prathemik Shikshak Sangh, V S Krishali said that most of BRCs and CRCs are doing their duties properly and they already are discharging academic activities.


It had initiated the recruitment process for 984 posts of the Cluster Resource Persons (CRP) and 285 posts of Block Resource Persons (BRP) on June 27 under Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) but the serving BRC and CRC raised their strong objections against the drive. These CRCs and BRCs objected as creation of new cadre and new recruitment would mean that they would be send back into their schools from where they are working on deputations.It is worth mentioning here that the education department rechristened the names of Cluster Resource Coordinator (CRC) and Block Resource Coordinator (BRC) to Cluster Resource Persons (CRP) and Block Resource Persons (BRP) respectively in an effort to create a new cadre for these positions.
