Devendra Kumar Pandey, director of Suda, who returned from the meeting held in Delhi, said that earlier 1.61 lakh 603 houses have been sanctioned. Thus, under the Prime Minister's Housing Scheme (PMAY), till now, 2.82 lakh 248 houses for the state Has been approved.
Pandey said that with this, the same scheme has been started from today itself to the payment of grant (2.5 lakh) directly to the beneficiaries account.He said that on the first day, various wards of the Gorakhpur Municipal Corporation In the account of 75 beneficiaries, the first installment of the grant amount of one lakh rupees received from the State Government has been sent.
In the same way, the first installment of the grant has been sent to the beneficiary accounts of 10 beneficiaries of Munshiganj and 10 of Dhanvant Roy Basti of the Mallihabad Nagar Panchayat area. The director said that after completion of the construction of the ceiling, one lakh will be released as the second installment
