Deputy Chief Minister of Gujarat State, Nitinbhai Patel, made some important suggestions in the meeting at the pre-budget meeting of Finance Ministers of the states called Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in Delhi. Nitin Patel strongly urged the central government to fix the 30 percent subsidy norm for solar pumps and to include 10 horse power cars under this scheme.
He also added that this encouragement would save the use of electricity, which will benefit the central and the state government financially. Patel urged the Central Government to increase honorarium of Anganwadi workers and Asha Worker sisters. The Government of India is giving more honorarium than the honorarium of the Government of India, but he is ready as it is, he added. Patel said that in addition to the abundant employment opportunities available from ship breaking industries, there is also the revenue of customs and duties towards the state government and the state government. In order to promote ship breaking industries, she introduced the customs duty on ships coming from Sheet Breaking to 2.5 percent to zero percent.
Referring to the world's largest shipbuilding industry, especially in Along, Bhavnagar district of Gujarat, he said that the workers of Orissa, Bihar, Andhra Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh are getting huge jobs from these industries in abundance.
