Companies charge Rs 31.78 from dealers for one liter of petrol. In this, the commissioner commission of Rs 3.58 is added to the commission. So, the price of one liter petrol goes up to 35.36. Under GST, tax of 28 percent can be taxed instead of VAT and excise duty. On account of 28 percent tax, it will add 9.90 rupees to 35.36 rupees. In this way, one liter petrol may have to pay 45.26 paise. At present, companies sell dealers for a liter of diesel at 32.61 rupees. In this, the dealer commission adds Rs 2.52. In this way a liter diesel becomes 35.13. After getting 28 percent tax, 9.83 paise will be added. In this case, a liter diesel will be available for Rs 44.96.

After coming under GST, the prices of crude oil prices will increase and decrease will be seen on petrol and diesel prices. However, this will not change their prices at a bigger level because the tax on this will be fixed. Although the government can cede with 28 per cent tax, but the prices of petrol and diesel will still be lower than the current prices.
